Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS)

This course is the main requirement for RSPS certification for REALTORS® who specialize in buying, selling or managing properties for investment, development, retirement or second homes in resort, recreational and/or vacation destinations. Successful completion also fulfills the elective-course requirement to earn the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation and the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation.

- Guideline differences between standard conventional mortgages versus jumbo mortgages
- Appraisal stipulations for jumbo mortgages
- Variations of loan amounts and required down payment
- Income and asset verification and sources, impacts of the Dodd-Frank Act
- Standard financial calculations for jumbo mortgages
- Compare the differences between various jumbo mortgage program guidelines
